Organist Juan de la Rubia, one of Spain’s most internationally renowned performers, has begun the 2025/26 season with a particularly busy October, marked by an ambitious schedule of concerts across Europe and Asia. Following recent performances in Switzerland (Grossmünster, Zurich), Germany (St. Severin, Sylt), Denmark (Hellereplund, Copenhagen), and Spain, the musician now embarks on a tour of China, performing in some of the country’s most prominent venues.

During the second half of October, De la Rubia will give four recitals in cities including Heyuan, Nantong, and Xiamen, presenting a program that spans several centuries — from Antonio de Cabezón, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Louis Vierne, to Hans Zimmer and his own improvisations, one of the organist’s most admired and distinctive facets.
