We are happy to announce that the French pianist David Kadouch joins to Marén Artists, for the territories of Spain, Portugal, Turkey and South America. He has become a regular guest of some of the most important orchestras, such as Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Orchestre National de France, Kölner Philharmonie, Münchner Symphoniker, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Israel Philharmonic, Hallé Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony, etc. Thus, he has worked with conductors such as David Zinman, Franz Brüggen, Jean-Claude Casadeus, Mark Minkowski, Daniele Gatti, Marc Albrecht, Myung-Whun Chung, Robin Ticciati, Lawrence Foster, Matthias Pintscher, etc.

Born in Nice in 1985, David Kadouch studied with maestros such as Odile Poisson (Nice Conservatoire), Jacques Rouvier (Paris Conservatoire) and Dmitri Bashkirov (Reina Sofia Music School in Madrid). He has been perfecting as well with Murray Perahia, Maurizio Pollini, Maria-João Pires, Vitaly Margulis and Itzhak Perlman, who invited him to play at the Metropolitan Museum in New York under his baton. After that, he invited him again to perform the Schumann’s Quintet with him at the Carnegie Hall.

A prize winner at the Beethoven Bonn Competition in 2005 and Leeds International Piano Competition in 2009, David Kadouch was nominated in 2010 as “Young Talent of the Year by French “Victoires de la Musique”. In 2011 he was awarded at the International Classic Music Awards (ICMA) as “Young Artist of the Year”.

In 2005 he participated in the DVD “Barenboim on Beethoven”, taking part of the masterclass given by Barenboim, with the Beethoven’ Sonata 16. After that, he was invited to replace Murray Perahia in Jerusalem, and to replace Lang Lang in Ramala.
He performs at major festivals: Contemporary Music Festival in Lucerne under Pierre Boulez, Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Gstaad Festival, Verbier Festival (where he was awarded the Verbier Festival Prix d’Honneur in 2009), Montreux, Schwetzingen, Jerusalem, La Roque d’Anthéron, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims, “Folles Journées” in Ekaterinburg, etc. He gives recitals in the major capitals of the world: Munich, Lisboa, Paris, Madrid, Viena, London, Amsterdam, Moscow, Frankfurt, New York, Tokyo, etc.

He is playing chamber music with Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Edgar Moreau, Antoine Tamestit, Michel Dalberto, Nikolaj Znaider, Radovan Vlatkovic, Sol Gabetta, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, as well as the Quartets Quiroga, Ebène and Ardeo.
He has recorded several CDs, with labels such as Decca, Naxos, Mirare, etc. In 2007 he recorded the “Emperor” by Beethoven with the Kölner Philharmonie; in 2010, Shostakoivch’s Preludes; in 2011, the “Pictures” by Mussorgsky; in 2012, a CD with pieces by Schumann with the Ardèo Quartet. His last CD, “Révolution” (2019) has pieces by Jan Ladislay Dussek, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt and Janáček.

Highlights of the 19/20 season includes concerts with the Orchestre des Champs Elysées (Louis Langrée), Orchestre de l’opera Rouen (Pierre Bleuse), Konzerthaus Dortmund, Orchestre de Marseille at the Radio France Festival in Montpellier, Kissinger Sommer Festival, Saint-Denis Festival, La Folle Journée Nantes, Paris’ Philharmonie, concerts in Japan and chamber music with Edgar Moreau, Nicolas Alstaedt, Ardeo Quartet and Quiroga Quartet.
