Lucas and Arthur Jussen reach a major milestone in their career this week as they make their debut with the prestigious Berliner Philharmoniker at the Philharmonie Berlin, as part of the 2025/26 concert season. The performances, conducted by Michael Sanderling, feature a programme headed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra in E-flat major, K. 365.
The concerts, scheduled from 19 to 21 February 2026, also include Franz Liszt’s episodes from Lenau’s Faust (First Mephisto Waltz) and an orchestral version of Johannes Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 1, in the orchestration by Arnold Schoenberg.
In addition to their Berlin appearance, the brothers maintain significant engagements in Spain throughout the season:
- On 17 June 2026 they return to Spain to perform at the Palau de la Música Catalana, presenting a mixed programme for two pianos and percussion featuring works by Bartók, Gershwin, Bernstein and Adams, as part of the Palau Fronteres series.
- Earlier in the season, they appeared in Seville on 6 and 7 November 2025 with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla (ROSS) at the Teatro de la Maestranza, under the baton of Lucas Macías. On that occasion, they performed Francis Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra.
In the 2025/2026 season, the Jussen brothers will make their debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker, serve as Artists in Residence with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, tour Europe with the Münchner Philharmoniker and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, tour Asia with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, and perform with orchestras such as the Gewandhausorchester, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Dresdner Philharmonie, among others. In recital, they will appear in Leipzig, La Jolla, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Milan, Oslo, Stuttgart, Barcelona, and more.
