The concert takes place in the ECLAT Festival

Pablo Rus Broseta will conduct again the SWR Symphonieorchester, in the JetztMusik in ECLAT. The concert will be live-streamed next Saturday 6th February 2021 at 18:00. The program includes pieces by Kristine Tjøgersen, Zeynep Gedizlioğlu and Franck Bedrossian.

Pablo Rus Broseta is actually Music Director of the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana. He has been Associate Conductor in Seattle Symphony during the last seasons, working with soloists such as Itzhak Perlman, René Fleming, Joshua Bell, etc. He is rapidly building a wide-ranging repertoire from Handel to John Adams, with a focus on the great symphonic repertoire. He has conducted monograph concerts of Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Brahms, etc.

In 2014, Rus Broseta led a joint performance of the SWR Symphonieorchester and the Ensemble Modern at the Music Festival in Strasbourg. He has since appeared with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Houston Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (Palau de les Arts), Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Les Siècles, which performs on period instruments, and with orchestras such as the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn and Bochumer Symphoniker.

He has appeared at numerous music festivals including the Klangspuren Schwaz, Transart Festival Bolzano, Ensems Festival Valencia, and the Cresc… Festival Frankfurt. He has worked closely with composers such as Wolfgang Rihm, Hans Zender, Johannes Maria Staud, Thomas Adès, Philippe Manoury, Magnus Lindberg, Martin Matalon, Francisco Coll, and Luca Francesconi.

In 2018 he launched his first CD with Seattle Symphony (Canteloupe Music), with music by Michael Gordon.

During the 20/21 season he debuts with San Antonio Symphony, Omaha Symphony, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, and returns to conduct in Orquestra Sinfonica do Porto Casa da Musica, Seattle Symphony and SWR Sinfonieorchester at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

Rus Broseta studied composition and saxophone at the Conservatory of his native Valencia, with further studies in conducting in Lyon, at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and Universität der Künste Berlin; and he has received invaluable guidance from Bernard Haitink, Pierre Boulez, David Zinman, Kurt Masur, and Steven Sloane. He served as Assistant Conductor of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège in the 2009/10 season, the Dutch National Opera Academy in 2010 and the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana from 2010 to 2013. In 2011, he founded the Spanish chamber orchestra Grup Mixtour, which he still directs today. There, he aims to revitalize concert experiences through eclectic programming of music from different eras and with diverse aesthetics.
