Miguel Sola studied music at the Madrid Conservatory where, upon graduation, he obtained the first prize in song. The musical career of this singer is both varied and extensive, while he has participated in Concerts, Operas, Polyphony, Zarzuela, Oratorios and several world debuts taken place in Spain, including the Spanish version of Bizet’s Carmen in Seville, with José Tamayo as conductor, Haendel’s Athalia, with the Tenerife symphony orchestra at Teatro Real in Madrid, and Figaro, a contemporary opera composed by José Ramón Encinar and staged at Madrid’s Olympia room, at National Theatre in Lisbon, and at Teatro de la Zarzuela.

He sang in the premiere of the opera “Christopher Columbus” by Maestro Balada at Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceo together with Monserrat Caballé and José Carreras, and conducted by Tito Capobianco. He also participated in El Gato Montés, a zarzuela written by Maestro Penella, together with Plácido Domingo and under the stage direction of Emilio Sagi, in a production of Teatro de la Zarzuela, Maestranza de Sevilla and Tokio Opera House.
He has many recordings, such as the spanish zarzuelas “La Revoltosa” and “La Gran Via” with the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, conducted by Miguel Roa and with Plácido Domingo in the main roles. Also, it must be highlighted his recordings in DVD of the productions of Un Ballo in Maschera, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, Le Nozze di Figaro, Jenufa and Werther at the Teatro Real in Madrid and Cyrano de Bergerac, with Plácido Domingo, at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia.
