Soprano Marina Monzó was born in Valencia in 1994. At the age of four years she begins her musical studies. In 2010 she begins to study sing and flute at Valencia´s Conservatory.
She has attended to several masterclasses with great masters such as Mariella Devia, Ana Luisa Chova, Enedina Lloris, Alberto Guardiola, Robert Expert, Ofelia Sala and Daniel Gascó.
She is taking lessons from soprano Isabel Rey since 2014.
She has sung in the choir at Palau de Les Arts in Valencia in different works, such as L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, The empty pot or 1984, under direction by Maestro Lorin Maazel.
She has sung as soprano soloist in the Requiem by Bob Chilcott, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, Missa in Re and A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten.
In 2014 she sung the role of ”Adele” from Die Fledermaus at Palau de Les Arts in Valencia.
In September, 2015, she made her debut at Teatro Real de Madrid, in a charity concert where she shared scenario with great artists, such as Juan Pons, Gregory Kunde, Carlos Álvarez, Norma Fantini, Carlo Colombara, Silvia Tro, Aquiles Machado, Nancy Fabiola Herrera and Isabel Rey, among others.
In January, 2016, she makes her debut at Bilbao Opera season in the role of Amina from Bellini´s La Sonnambula. That year, she studied at Accademia Rossiniana di Pésaro with Maestro A. Zedda and she makes her debut with ‘’Il viaggio a Reims’’ (Contessa di Folleville) at the ‘’Rossini Opera Festival’’. She had so great success, that she has been invited to sing again in 2017 in a production of “La Pietra del Paragone”.
Also, during 2016 she has been invited by Juan Diego Flórez to sing with him in some concerts in Europe to celebrate his 20 years as professional singer.
In 2017 she will make her debut at the Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid (with “Le Cinesi” in a coproduction with Fundación March), at ‘’Festival de Ópera Alfredo Kraus’’ in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (as Sophie from “Werther”) and at Teatro Filarmónico di Verona as Contessa di Folleville from “Il Viaggio a Reims”.
